KU Engineering seeks applications for the Student Speaker of the Spring 2025 Engineering Recognition Ceremony. The speaker is responsible for providing a short (2-5 minute) speech to the graduating class. The ceremony will be in Allen Fieldhouse on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 8:00am.

Student Speaker candidates should be graduating students who are confident public speakers, involved in the School of Engineering, and a positive representative for the graduating student body in this important ceremony. To apply, please submit the following:
-Resume/CV
-Letter explaining why you want to serve as the Student Speaker
-Short example of the speech you would give if chosen
-Video submission of your speech (phone recordings welcome)

Completed applications are due by Monday, April 14. A committee will review all submissions and you will be notified the following week if you are selected.
