Hello!
Thank you for your interest in the Technology Education Program offered by the University of Kansas. The program was developed for women who have been recently released from jail or prison (or have criminal justice involvement) and teaches computer skills that are important for job participation and career advancement. Some of the skills include Microsoft Office programs, personal branding, and website creation and management. Our primary goal is to support employment opportunities.

Our program is taught completely online and free to participate in. We use the online learning management system called Canvas where participants can watch instructional videos, complete activities, and interact with our instructions all in one location. Participants can expect to spend 1-2 hours per week completing lessons. Additionally, for each completed phase participants earn a certificate of completion and a $50 incentive. There are currently ten phases offered. Participants also receive $10 incentive for holding an interview session, conducted over the phone or via zoom, with the Technology Education Program Coordinator(s). This interview will help the Coordinators identify what aspects participants are most interested in.

On the next page, please complete the questions and provide us with possible times to hold the initial interview.

Thank you.
