- The deadline for this application is December 1. Submit all materials online no later than this date. 

- The KWLI application includes a series of short essay questions in addition to some basic contact and background information. 

- Applicants should submit at least one, and up to two, letters of recommendation. Letter writers should email their recommendations to kwli@ku.edu no later than December 1. 

Program Requirements:

- Applicants will ideally have at least one year left of coursework following their participation in the KWLI. 

- Preference will be given to women whose hometowns have a population of 60,000 or less. 

- The KWLI will run from the middle of June to the end of July. During the KWLI, you will live and study full-time on the KU Lawrence campus, including evenings and weekends when we are not traveling as a group. Therefore, we ask that you confirm your availability for the entirety of the Institute before submitting your application.
