Apply to become a Military-Affiliated Community Advocate

The Military-Affiliated Community Advocates (MACA) program offers service scholarships to veterans, Guard, Reserve, spouses and dependents who serve as a liaison for the military-affiliated community in key offices/departments across campus.

The ultimate goal is for Advocates to represent the needs and issues of military-affiliated students to the greater KU community. This program also serves as a vehicle for military-affiliated students to build relationships across university departments and personally gain skills that will assist them throughout their designated career paths.

MACAs are scholarship recipients and will serve in a 1-year term with the possibility of renewal. This opportunity entails a flexible 5-10 hours per week. Scholarship recipients are requested to meet a couple of times per semester as a group to update others on their activities.

Applicants must be in good standing with the university and maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA and have completed a minimum of one year on their designated campus.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
