EXHIBITION AGREEMENT

If my work is chosen for the LibArt exhibition, I agree to deliver my art "ready for display" (mounted, matted and/or framed, etc.)

I will leave my art on display for the entire period of the exhibition (barring any unforeseen circumstances)

I understand and agree that this Submission Form and Agreement do not obligate the University of Kansas (KU Libraries) to borrow and exhibit my work and that KU Libraries has sole discretion as to whether, for how long and in what manner the work shall be exhibited, as well as permission to modify display components (e.g. wire, brackets, backing) to facilitate more stable display.

I agree that KU Libraries shall not be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur to my artwork during the exhibition period, including by not limited to loss or damage due to theft or vandalism. Further, I release and hold harmless the University of Kansas, Kansas Board of Regents, State of Kansas and their employees, agents and the Art Advisory Committee of KU Libraries from any liability for theft, loss, or damage to my artwork. I understand that I am solely responsible for and agree to assume the risk of loss that may occur during the exhibition period.

​​​​​​​Once the exhibition ends, I understand that if I do not retrieve my art within 6 months of the pick-up deadline, it will be disposed of without liability to KU Libraries.

COPYRIGHT RELEASE

I warrant that I have full legal title and copyrights to the artwork. I agree to indemnify, defend and to hold the University of Kansas, KU Memorial Unions, Kansas Board of Regents, State of Kansas and their employees and agents harmless from any liability (including attorney fees and costs of defending any actions) arising out of any claim by any individual, institution or other person claiming full or partial title or copyright to the artwork.

I hereby grant the University of Kansas and KU Memorial Unions a nonexclusive license and the authority to display the artwork and to use and reproduce the artwork in web pages on the Internet, in digital presentations in library facilities and as a part of any other promotional materials produced, used by and representing KU Libraries, as well as to permanently archive and make publicly available an image of the artwork in KU Scholarworks, KU's current online institutional repository, and its successors.

I understand that I will not receive compensation for any use that is made of the artwork as a result of this Agreement
