KU Summer 2025 Native Storytelling Workshop Application

Workshop Dates: June 2-6 at the University of Kansas Lawrence Campus

Description: Join the next generation of Native American storytellers. Spend a week at KU learning news writing, photojournalism, podcast, studio production, documentary and more with a group of Indigenous leaders working in media professions.

Cost: $600 (scholarships available)

Scholarships are available to ensure that all interested and qualifying applicants can attend regardless of their financial ability to pay. Please fill out the essay below.

Requirements:
• Good academic standing with GPA of 2.0 or higher
• Be a Native American high school student between incoming high school freshman and graduating senior
• Have an interest in journalism/passion for Native storytelling
